How do City Shoes stay on?
The boot is secured with a Velcro® strap around the dog’s leg to make sure it stays in place. The inside has a special foam which gives the boot it’s shape and helps it stay on.
Will they slip off?
If the boot is sized properly for your dog’s paws it will fit snuggly. The Velcro® strap will keep it in place.
What’s to stop the dog from chewing the boot?
Left unattended, not too much. However, dogs wear the boots primarily when out for walks under supervision to protect their paws from scorching surfaces. Most dogs get used to wearing boots very quickly and don’t bother chewing them, especially as they are outside walking or playing.
Is it safe for my dog to wear them all day?
Your best friend’s health and safety is important to us. That is why we got into this business in the first place. So there are a few things we think you should know in order to experience success maintaining paw health with City Shoes.
Although our boots are breathable and have special moisture wicking fabrics you should always check your dog’s paws periodically. If you are unsure remove the boot check your dog’s paws carefully and you can then put the boots back on for walk time.
What if my dog hates wearing boots
We designed City Shoes with your dog in mind! City Shoes move with your dog, allowing for full paw motion and maximum comfort. With our special heat resistant thin sole, City Shoes allows your dog to feel the ground, providing the needed sense of security not possible with a typical dog boot. This is the main reason why dogs that won’t wear dog boots will wear City Shoes.
What do City Shoes protect against?
The soles of City Shoes are heat resistant so they protect paws from all hot surfaces, however they also protect against lawn chemicals, fertilizers, sharp rocks, debris or anything else that might injure or irritate your dog’s paws.
Are they washable?
Yes, the boot is washable in cool water on a gentle cycle. However, hang dry and never put in dryer as that will ruin the specially formulated fabric properties which give the boot it’s shape and fit.
